We love your pets
Our staff is experienced and trained in all aspects of veterinary medicine. They share in the excitement of the first visit with your new pet and cherish time with your graying, older pet.
Relationships with the family pet are an important aspect of our practice and we strive to treat your pet as we would want our own treated.
We are active members of our community. We enjoy educating people of the important responsibilities of pet ownership, while nurturing the Human-Animal Bond. If your school would like a visit from one of our veterinarians, please let us know.

Amanda Decker – Veterinary Assistant – I’ve been working at Hoschton Animal Hospital since September 2003. I love working at Hoschton Animal Hospital because the staff is like my family and I love being part of a team. Most of all, I love the animals I get to work with, and I enjoy the challenges that I face everyday. There’s always something new and exciting- never a dull moment. I have 4 wonderful pets of my own: two cats, Lestat (aka Moofus) and Craven, who is better known as Itty Lou, and two amazing puppy dogs, named Lucas and Leigh-Lu. They all get along and are very happy little critters. I treat every pet that walks through the door at Hoschton Animal Hospital like one of my own. I hope to get the opportunity to meet you and your babies if I haven’t already.

Brent Wehunt – Veterinary Assistant – I graduated from Jackson County Comprehensive High School in 2007 and have been happily working here at Hoschton Animal Hospital since July of 2006. I love it here and everyone has become a second family to me; there’s no place I’d rather be than right here. Beginning as a Kennel Assistant, I decided to become a Veterinarian Assistant a year later. I now believe I’ve found what I want to do with my life. My plans are to complete my core classes at Gainesville State College and then transfer to UGA for a degree in Pre-Vet Med and attend Vet School. Eventually, I want to become a veterinarian. This is my first job and I wouldn’t have a problem with it being the only job I’ve ever had until I reach my goal. |
