Dentistry

Dental care is essential to the life of your pet. Why? Studies show that pets who have excellent dental care live 2-4 years longer than pets who do not. We examine every patient for underlying dental disease.

Dental disease can lead to pain, failure of the kidneys, heart, and/or liver if left untreated. We have state of the art dental equipment, much like what you see at your dentist’s office. Sometimes all that is needed is a cleaning and polishing of the teeth. Other times an extraction of a diseased tooth or gingival (gum) surgery is required along with pain relievers and antibiotics. Blood work is highly recommended for our patients before any surgery, and a dental is no exception.
